FEATURES
- The Productor II Toroid Winder is a recent addition to the Gorman line of
fine toroid winding machines. It has all the features of the old 920a or the new
model 900 machine except for instant reversal of core rotation. Most toroids are
wound counterclockwise, but if desired, opposite rotation of the toroid is
achieved by reversing a belt beneath the machine.
- The winding head has a quick-acting swing-away upper section for quicker
core insertion and removal, leaving the shuttle on the rollers. When the
shuttle must be removed from the head, there is an exclusive, instant shuttle
release lever on the side of the head. If your application involves infrequent
reversal of core rotation, this is the machine for you... at a substantially
lower price than the more automatic 900 model.
- The productor II is available with either a 4 or 6 inch winding head and
interchangeable light or heavy duty 360 degree core rotators. The light duty
core rotators will handle cores from .100 to 2 inches O.D. The heavy duty
rotators will rigidly hold and rotate cores from 5/8 inch to 4 inches diameter.
The core is held between three rubber drive rollers and all three rollers are
driven for more positive core rotation.
- Power Core Jog is now available. This eliminates tedious hand positioning
or indexing of the core between windings.
- Ten sizes of wire slider and side slider shuttles are available for the 4
inch winding head, and six side slider shuttles fit the 6 inch head.
- A belt winding head of new design is available for winding heavy wire
through small residual holes which previously have had to be wound by hand.
Winding cycles of down to 20 seconds are now possible, competing with hand
winding with as little as ten turns or less with this new head. Eight belt
shuttles are available for the 4 inch belt head and five belt shuttles for the
6 inch head.
- The exclusive Gorman Jockey Stick core positioning device is standard
equipment with the Productor II and is now adjustable in this machine for
stability by a locking screw, when a fixed position is desired.
- All Gorman Toroid Winding Machines use the patented delrin and rubber
shuttle driving rollers for long and silent running, a drive which maintains the
high polish of the shuttles, reducing the likelihood of inside coil damage and
shorted turns by accidental rubbing by the shuttle. The shuttles are of circular
rather than angular cross section giving more wire storage per shuttle size.
- All components are of bolt-on or plug-in construction assuring years of
continuous use and trouble free service.
